Relatives and friends are invited to attend Doug’s funeral service to be held Wednesday 22nd April 2026 at the Lismore Memorial Gardens Cremation Chapel

The office is centrally located at Suite 5, 124 Woodlark St, Lismore NSW 2480, offering easy access for families.
I was attending Lismore Methodist Church prior to coming to Sydney in 1963. Doug was a shade older than I am. It is sad to see he has passed on – I do know he’ll be a lot more comfortable.

I am very sorry to lose such a good neighbour. Doug was always friendly, and generous with advice and hands on help. I will miss him. And who will hassle Council now about our potholes??
He was indeed the best of neighbours. Memories of post the ’22 flood and him offering to fill thermoses and recharge phones/laptops (via his generator) after we all lost power for several days. He also would lend tools and expert advice to anyone who needed it and he and Marie also hosted some fun Xmas street parties many years ago.
Dear Aunty Marie, Jenny, Peter, Chris and families,
We were so saddened to hear of Uncle Doug’s passing. Our hearts are with you all as you say goodbye to someone who meant so much.
We have such fond memories of the Christmases spent together. Uncle Doug had a way of making everyone feel welcome, special and at ease, and those memories will stay with us always.
Please know we’re thinking of you during this difficult time and sending you love, strength and our deepest condolences.
